As some of you still clean up damage from Irene, Tropical Depression Lee and Hurricane Katia form and threaten our shores once again. The only thing we really need to worry about in Maryland is Lee, this slow moving system has drenched the south and a cold front from the north has tapped into the weakening system.
We now see a practical wall of water over parts of west Maryland. The cold front motioned will stall over the area and give us up to two extra inches of unneeded rainfall through as late as Thursday.
For Labor Day we will see this rain fall with a good chance of some severe weather. We will try our best to keep you updated on warnings.
Back to Katia quickly, we will basically see this storm charge head on to the Mid-Atlantic and make an abrupt north-ward turn as cold front giving us issues now will save us from this Hurricane. Of course this is 5 days out in the forecast so things may change, stay tuned.
