December 7 Winter Weather Update | Mark Gonzalez

The heavy rainfall continues this morning as everybody is talking about how much snow will arrive tonight. As stated earlier, somewhere in Western Maryland there will be 3-6 inches. Remember for most of us, this will be a very minor snow event. What and if any snow falls, depends a whole lot on how quickly the cold air gets here before the precipitation is over. We know this for sure we see falling temperatures today and snow will begin from west to east late tonight into the overnight hours and done before the morning rush. First call for snow amounts are:
Garrett and Allegeny Counties: 3-6 inches (Winter Storm Warning)
Washington and Frederick County: 2-4 inches (Winter Weather Advisory)
Western and Northern suburbs of DC/Baltimore: 1-2 inches (Winter Weather Advisory)-this is at best-may be closer more to just an inch and just on grassy surfaces
in and around the immediate I-95 cities: less than an inch
Southern Maryland/Northern Eastern Shore: just a quick burst of snow, a dusting
Mid and lower Eastern Shore: little or no snow accumulation
