The heat slowly returns

Good Morning! Today is going to be a bit more warmer and humid that yesterday with highs in the lower 90's and higher humidity levels to make it feel like its in the mid 90's. Partly sunny skies and with some more clouds possibly pushing in. Now there is a chance of a ruble of thunder to the north and west, but in the north ans west parts of the state. Nothing severe is expected! There is an Orange Air Quality alert for the DC and Baltimore Metro area, here is the advisory text from the NWS:

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IS IN EFFECT FOR THURSDAY JULY 28 2011...

THE METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS IN ASSOCIATION
WITH MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT, VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT
OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, AND DISTRICT DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT
HAS ISSUED A CODE ORANGE AIR QUALITY ALERT THURSDAY FOR
THE DC METRO AREA.

A CODE ORANGE AIR QUALITY ALERT MEANS THAT AIR POLLUTION
CONCENTRATIONS WITHIN THE REGION MAY BECOME UNHEALTHY FOR
SENSITIVE
GROUPS. SENSITIVE GROUPS INCLUDE CHILDREN...PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM
ASTHMA... HEART DISEASE OR OTHER LUNG DISEASES...AND THE ELDERLY.
THE EFFECTS OF AIR POLLUTION CAN BE MINIMIZED BY AVOIDING
STRENUOUS
ACTIVITY OR EXERCISE OUTDOORS.

Moving to tomorrow, we see record heat return with highs in the DC Metro area pushing or at 100 and surrounding areas in the upper 90's. There is a risk of storms again for tomorrow and this time the whole state is involved, again nothing to severe is expected. We will most likely see an Air Quality alert and/or a Heat advisory issued because of the expected heat index, which will be 100 to 105!
