Good Shot for Tomorrow Across State for Snow...

SOME SNOW TOMORROW FOR MUCH OF MARYLAND | Winter Analysis, Feb 7th PM update | Mark G

Looks like for the most part my forecast of snow accumulations will stay somewhat the same except for my good ole home region of Southern Maryland where we should see more snow than originally thought as maybe more cold air will work its way into the region overnight into tomorrow-we'll be moving that 1 inch line further south into Charles County and if we're even luckier (depending on your point of view) maybe into Northern St Marys. However this is in no way a major storm and also we need to understand that the snow will start during the afternoon 2-3pm timeframe and should not stick on the roads right away especially in the metro area and Southern Maryland-where it could even start as rain/snow mix, but as we near rush hour and sun begins to go down and temps drop we could see some slick roads and turning to all snow over most of the state. The snow should be out of the state by 8 or 9 pm. The National weather service has issued their forecast map which I have attached. Other wise looking significantly colder this weekend-30s for highs for much of Maryland. The models are reading colder than that but w/ lack of deep snow cover and whatever falling tomorrow melting by Saturday-we'll go conservative on this cold air mass-maybe another snow chance on Sunday and then again next week.
